Confidentiality
Your identity stays hidden until you say otherwise.
Owners share sensitive information with us. Buyers want to know what they're looking at. Every opportunity moves through four stages, and each one needs the right agreements before anything more is shared.
- Stage 1
Blind teaser
- What the buyer sees
- A short card with a code name (such as “Project Kestrel”), the sector, a broad region and a size range.
- Needed first
- The owner has signed an engagement letter with us and approved the exact teaser wording in writing.
- What stays private
- No owner or company name, exact figures, client names, photos or anything that could be searched online.
- Stage 2
Expression of interest
- What the buyer sees
- Nothing new yet. The buyer tells us they're interested by applying with the code name.
- Needed first
- A buyer application.
- What stays private
- Interest doesn't unlock any details on its own.
- Stage 3
Confidential profile
- What the buyer sees
- A more detailed profile, still anonymised, shared privately by SiteQuest.
- Needed first
- We've screened the buyer, and they've signed a confidentiality agreement and an engagement agreement covering our fee and a promise not to go around us.
- What stays private
- Still no identity: the owner remains anonymous.
- Stage 4
Introduction
- What the buyer sees
- Real names and contact details, in an introduction email from SiteQuest.
- Needed first
- The owner's written consent to reveal their identity to that specific buyer, and no one else.
- What stays private
- Consent covers only the buyer it names. Other buyers stay at their own stage.
Records we keep
We record each step for every buyer: who was screened, when each agreement was signed, when a profile was shared and when the owner consented. These records can't be edited or deleted, so they can be relied on if anyone tries to go around the process.
Members and evidence
Claim ledgers and open risks on teaser cards are shown only to members whose identity we've verified and who have accepted our member NDA. Every view is logged.
